Adults occur in quiet, usually turbid, mud-bottomed or sand-bottomed pools of headwaters, creeks and small rivers (Ref. 205); also inhabit small to moderate streams (Ref. 10294). Oviparous (Ref. 205), probably open substratum spawners like congeners (Ref. 5723).
