Body greyish, scales with short vertical or curved dark lines, distinct brown oblique shoulder bar present (Ref. 43716). Longitudinal scales 23-28; TRB 8-12; predorsal scales 11-20, small, reaching up to behind eyes, one to several scales sometimes larger than others; scales on body mostly ctenoid; third to fourth dorsal fin spines longest (Ref. 43716). Caudal fin rounded to rectangular (Ref. 43716).
