Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-13; Anal spines: 2; Anal soft rays: 8 - 11; Vertebrae: 33. Distinguished from Percarina maeotica by its unique character of having scaleless cheek. Differs further by the combination of the following characters: body and fin membranes almost transparent; back milky white without dark spots; 8-9 greyish round or irregularly-shaped blotches along base of dorsal fins (Ref. 59043).
