Dorsal soft rays (total): 6; Anal soft rays: 6 - 7; Vertebrae: 37 - 40. Lower lip with a median notch and having a posterior margin with small laciniate projections. Caudal fin emarginate. Male genital papilla immediately behind the anus in a depression terminating posteriorly with a straight transverse wall. Maxillary barbel with pointed tip and lobulate posterior margin (Ref. 44353).
