Pacific Ocean: Christmas Island in the eastern Indian Ocean to the Mariana, Marshall, Samoan, Tuamoto, and Pitcairn islands. Recently reported from Ouv?a Atoll, Loyalty Islands (Ref. 13236). May be conspecific with Chalixodytes chameleontoculis of the western Indian Ocean.
