Biology
Anal soft rays: 9 - 10; Vertebrae: 42 - 45. Preorbital stripe absent (Ref. 57474). Pelvic fin origin well in front of anterior base of dorsal fin (Ref. 57474). Caudal peduncle depth 10.1-12.9% of SL (Ref. 57474). Body depth 6.5-8.4 x SL. Head 4.5-5.7 x SL. Round prominent snout. Cutaneous fold below and above almost half of caudal peduncle. Gas bladder connected to esophagus. Well developed brain with most of the dermic bony skeletal pieces regressed. Whitish body, yellowish back with small brown spots.
