Oceanic and mesopelagic, occurs mainly below 250 m at night (Ref. 4066). Taken as prey by hakes, kingklip and Cape horse mackerel (Ref. 36731). Specimens reach sexual maturity at a length of 5,4 cm; occurs in waters between 5? and 15?C. (Ref. 47377). Minimum depth from Ref. 58018.
