Dorsal soft rays (total): 74-77; Anal soft rays: 53 - 57; Vertebrae: 40. Diagnosis: Pointed snout; small distinct eyes, 1.5-2.0% SL; head naked; posterior infraorbital pores 3; posterior nostril small, about quarter of eye diameter; rays in dorsal fin 74-77, anal 53-57, caudal 14-15; otolith with length to height ratio 2.1-2.2 and fused colliculi; sulcus large; 1 pair of pseudoclaspers with 2 almost equally long supporters (Ref. 55786).
