Dorsal spines (total): 12; Dorsal soft rays (total): 13-14; Anal spines: 4; Anal soft rays: 11 - 12. Reddish, without conspicuous markings. Preopercular spine not prominent. Opercle with 1 large spine and many smaller spines. Soft parts of dorsal fin and anal fin unscaled. Lobes of caudal, soft dorsal and anal fins pointed (Ref. 7251).
