Biology
Occurs in forest streams of the foothills zones, usually in clear, slow to fast flowing waters, preferring quieter areas along the shores; commonly found in shallow waters (less than 5-15 cm) such as puddles in the forest (Ref. 56749). Feeds on worms, crustaceans insects and plant matter (Ref. 7020).
